Welcome to your Wild Watercolour Orchids workshop. This workshop is in two parts, both parts can be viewed on this page.

We will be inspired by both rare and common species of orchids.

Part 1 (38 mins)

• Early Purple Orchid (Orchis mascula)

• Lady Orchid (Orchis purpurea)

Part 2 (22 mins)

• Green Winged Orchid (Anacamptis morio)

• Man Orchid (Orchis anthropophora)

We will explore these wildflowers through free flowing painting techniques to nurture your creativity and inspire calm.

This workshop experiments are:

• Rhythmic Painting - breathe with your paintbrush

• Dry Brushing

• Collecting Shadows

• The humble cocktail stick as an art tool

• Wet on wet watercolour technique

Tap into what you need, whether it is a creative boost, fresh inspiration or simply some time for yourself to relax. 

A gentle reminder to consider how it feels too paint, not what it looks like. I recommend you pause and reflect as many times as you need. This is the creative process, we have no set destination. Invite yourself to be in the moment and absorb yourself in the experiments that resonate with you. Perhaps build on the ideas offered, what can you change, develop and explore?
