Original Watercolour | Beech leave & Bluebells, 56 x 37.5cm
My love for bluebells never falters, an important and protected species. I love how they converse with the beech tree’s. Inspired by Forest of Bere, Wickham, Hampshire, UK.
There is magic here
where the paper thin bark
of the beech peels away
where a bluebell stem
leans against another
where you are your only self
and nature holds up a mirror
whispers ‘welcome home’ (Iris Hill)
Measures 560 × 375 mm, unmounted and unframed, painted on smooth textured watercolour board, with light fast mineral pigment artisan pan watercolour and liquid watercolour. Some small elements are painted with natural pigment inks, which may fad or darken over time, this is part of the life of the work. The artwork is signed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
All IP (Intellectual Property) remains with the Artist.
If you would like to receive further images or a video of the work then please email hello@irishill.co.uk If you are local to Winchester, Hampshire, UK you are also welcome to arrange a viewing.
For framing I recommend Winchester Framers on Bridge St, Winchester.
